IAPS is sad to announce the passing of Maggie Price, President of the International Association of Pastel Societies and co-founder of the venerable publication, The Pastel Journal. Maggie's legacy not only includes her IAPS presidency and the magazine, but bestselling books, DVD's and workshops that have inspired students around the world to become better artists. Her third book, Creative Freedom, was just published by Northlight books in March this year.
To honor her legacy IAPS is creating a perpetual award in her name. The Maggie Price Award of Excellence for an Emerging Artist will be given at each IAPS Exhibition, starting with the 2013 Convention this June.
